The Dubai Scholars’ annual Fiesta, held on 1st March 2019, was an eminently exciting event for all students, parents and teachers. The entire event was made immensely entertaining by numerous performances, games and a fashion show.
The Performing Arts Department had organized and displayed numerous mind blowing musical and dance performances by students from almost every age group. Along with this, the Department had also choreographed a stunning STOMP performance which is a form of dance that includes everything from body taps to clapping your hands and stamping your feet.
Moreover, a fashion show was also conducted for the first time for the junior and the senior phases in which students dressed up representing their culture and tradition and based on their theme, and awards were given accordingly.

Furthermore, all classes were given a stall and were responsible for hosting games, such as football shot challenge, basketball shot challenge, arranging cups so as to form a pyramid, knocking down pins using a ball and many more.
The event was concluded by a magnificent musical and blissful disco party which students had greatly looked forward to and tremendously enjoyed with their peers and friends.

The following are the experiences and the reviews of some students:
“The Scholars Fiesta was a day full of excitement and cheer. Most students from year 9, including myself, were looking forward to the fashion show for which our theme was wedding. I enjoyed a lot!

“Scholars fiesta is a time of the year that students look forward to. Every year students focus on putting out enjoyable entertainment for teachers, parents and their peers. The fun is not only dancing, singing, games, etc. but also the quality time we all get together with our friends and teachers. Scholars fiesta has always been an event where students get a break from academics whilst enjoying. It’s a great time to catch up with your long lost friends and have a memorable day.”
- Simraan Ajwani, Student of 9C
